Through the mist of the Covid-19 pandemic, I’ve found that it’s been challenging to stay motivated. It’s been rough but definitely trying to see the light through all of this. I do enjoy working from home, but only for a short period of time. I love working by myself because I am an introvert but I am more productive when I change my study scenery. I can’t stay in one place. I get distracted easily. I’ve moved around my house quite a few times in the past couple of weeks. It just doesn’t feel the same, I need human interaction. LOL. Ever since everything happened, it’s been tough getting back into the groove of things. So last week, during my mentor sessions, I’ve asked my mentors about their process and how they stay motivated to meet deadlines.

Here is a summary of insights I gathered from my mentor session.
  1. Make a list. Whatever doesn’t get done, move it to the next day.
  2. Write out multiple task for one project separately.
  3. Time Chunking. Allot time for projects but also time for yourself!
  4. Use this moment of crisis to push the boundaries and think beyond.

I love my mentors and their attentiveness throughout this project! We are always communicating and updating each other on my project and their encouragement means the world to me right now. We are meeting weekly. To motivate even more, they have scheduled time out of the week for us to work together! I am so grateful for this experience!
